- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 large onion (sliced)
- 1ooml beef stock (say 1/6th of a beef stock cube with 100ml boiling water)
- 200ml red wine
- 1 tsp (generous) Dijon Mustard
Heat the oil in a pan. Stir in the onions and cook very gently for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
Add the wine and the beef stock bring to the boil and continue boiling until the liquid has reduced by half. Stir in the mustard.
Serve poured over grilled sausages.
