Sunday afternoon tea trolley

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. My Mum died (not unexpected – she had had breast cancer for some time) at the being of October and it all got rather hectic.

My Mum was famous for her Sunday afternoon ‘tea trolley’ so we recreated the one shown above for the wake – almost too good to eat!

She was also a great cook. Recently that she told me that under no circumstances should any of her cooking or baking equipment end up in a charity shop, or worse still, down the dump. I think that’s unlikely to be a problem, as there seems to be something genetic about cooking and food, and there are several grandchildren who will be pleased to inherit parts of Mum’s batterie de cuisine.

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss. My mom was a great cook too and I still feel her presence when I use one of her recipes or a piece of her cooking equipment. I hope you find comfort in this sad time.
